About the Book :

During our preparation, we found that Agriculture created enormous job opportunities in teaching, research, extension, industrial and financial institutions, which are based on all those examinations conduced by Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), New Delhi, various state agricultural universities, state boards and banking institutions. All these examinations are mostly based on objective type questions and students always look for study material that is ready to use and easy to grasp. But, there are only few books available in the market for agricultural competitive examinations.

The present book "Agriculture at a Glance" has been prepared in most simple, clear and in appropriate manner so that easy to grasp and remember, based on syllabus of most of agricultural competitive examinations with basic and current knowledge of various fields of agriculture.

About Author :

Mr. Rakesh Kumar Sharma is Assistant Seed Certification Officer in Seed Certification Department, Raipur (C.G.). He has also worked as Senior Surveillance Inspector under National Invasive Weed Surveillance Programme and Senior Research Fellow in BRSM, CAET, IGKV, Raipur. He received his B.Sc (Ag.) in 2006 and M.Sc (Ag.) degree in 2008 in the field of Agronomy from Indira Gandhi Krishi Vishwavidyalaya, Raipur (C.G.). He has qualified JRF (Agronomy) during 2006 and Ph.D. Exams of Banaras Hindu University and GBPUAT during 2009-10. He has also qualified National Eligibility Test (ASRB, ICAR). He has published book Guide for Agricultural Entrance Examinations, many research papers and technical articles. He has lot of teaching experience of Under-graduate programme.
